The Nick of Time is a new take on the Santa Clause origin story. It begins with two young boys who have suffered great loss and are recovering from family tragedy. One Christmas eve they happen upon Santa Clause himself delivering gifts. Realizing he has been seen by the boys, Santa asks them if they will join him for some milk and cookies and proceeds to tell them about his life and how he came to be Santa Clause starting from his adventures as the young St. Nicolas of Myra. As Santa chronicles his own adventures, loves and loss, the story culminates into and unexpected twist and a life changing offer is made to the boys. The temp music tracks are from the incredible Thomas Newman as i feel his wonderful compositions really match the tone of what i would like the film to be.
